The Secondary Chakras
Evelynn Road

The Secondary or auxiliary chakras, are smaller energy centers located throughout the body that contribute to the overall energetic system. While the main chakras are more widely recognized and studied, the minor chakras play an important role in regulating energy flow and supporting various aspects of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Minor chakras are smaller energy centers that are distributed throughout the body, often corresponding to nerve plexuses, acupuncture points, or other anatomical structures. Although they may not be as prominently featured as the main chakras, they still play a vital role in maintaining the balance and vitality of the energetic system.
The Minor chakras can be found in various locations throughout the body, including:
Palms of the Hands: Palm chakras are located in the center of each palm and are associated with energy exchange, healing, and sensitivity to subtle energies.
Soles of the Feet: Foot chakras are situated beneath the feet and are believed to connect us to the earth's energy, grounding and stabilizing our energy field.
Knees and Elbows: Knees and elbow chakras are found at the joints and are associated with movement, flexibility, and energetic flow.
Shoulders and Hips: Shoulder and hip chakras are located at the joints and are associated with mobility, flexibility, and the flow of energy through the body.
Ears and Eyes: Ear and eye chakras are situated around the ears and eyes and are associated with sensory perception, intuition, and psychic abilities.
Thymus Gland: The thymus chakra is located in the center of the chest, near the thymus gland, and is associated with immunity, vitality, and heart-centered consciousness.
Back of the Neck: The cervical chakra is located at the back of the neck and is associated with communication, self-expression, and the flow of energy between the head and body.
Minor chakras perform a variety of functions and have unique attributes that contribute to overall well-being. Like the main chakras, minor chakras help regulate the flow of life force energy throughout the body, ensuring proper balance and vitality.
Each minor chakra may have specific functions related to its location and associated anatomical structures. For example, palm chakras support activities such as energy healing, massage, and bodywork, while foot chakras facilitate grounding and connection to the earth.
Activating and balancing minor chakras can support overall health and well-being and enhance specific functions or abilities. Practices such as energy healing, yoga, meditation, breathwork, and visualization can help activate and harmonize minor chakras, promoting optimal energy flow and vitality.
Minor chakras work in conjunction with the main chakras to maintain the balance and integrity of the energetic system. Balancing both minor and major chakras is essential for overall health, vitality, and spiritual growth.
The Minor chakras are smaller energy centers located throughout the body that contribute to the overall functioning of the energetic system. While they may not receive as much attention as the main chakras, they play a vital role in regulating energy flow, supporting various functions, and promoting overall health and well-being.
